Bahamas Residence 2

The Bahamas Residence 2 is the most comprehensive project in Azula Designs' Caribbean portfolio — a full-house residential commission that covers every room type from the family room to the parking area, and demonstrates what it looks like when a complete design vision is applied without compromise across an entire property.

The project's scale — fifteen distinct spaces across interior, exterior, and transitional zones — demanded a rigorous material and colour system that could hold together across very different room types and use cases. The palette anchors in warm whites, natural timber, and woven natural fibres, with the lake and pool views providing the colour accents that the interior deliberately avoids competing with.

The family room and living room are distinct but adjacent — designed to give the household two different registers of social space: the relaxed informality of the family room and the more composed quality of the main living area. Both share the material language of the house while offering different scales and furniture arrangements.

The wardrobe and beauty room is one of the project's most distinctive spaces — a dedicated room that takes the brief seriously as a design opportunity rather than a practical afterthought. Custom joinery, considered lighting for makeup application, and a furniture arrangement that makes getting ready feel like a luxury experience.

The reading room — quiet, book-lined, and oriented to the lake view — provides the household with a genuine retreat from the more social spaces of the ground floor. The backyard view by the lake and the sitting area facing the pool are the exterior design counterparts: spaces that invite stillness and take full advantage of the exceptional natural setting.
